Kroondomein Het Loo

  • Accessibility The entrance to the park is a bit difficult to find. It is located on the Amersfoortseweg. Walk along the Amersfoortseweg from the "de Naald" memorial. After approximately 700 meters, take the second road to the right (the first road leads to the palace). After about 700 meters, you will arrive at the nature car park. The total walking time is approximately 25 minutes.

Kroondomein Het Loo

Kroondomein Het Loo is one of the largest and most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. With vast forests, heathlands, and sand drifts, it is a paradise for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers. Those who set out early also have a chance of encountering red deer, roe deer, wild boars, or even a fox.

The Kroondomein borders directly on Het Loo Palace and is part of the Royal Domain. The peace, space, and pristine nature ensure that you feel completely away from the hustle and bustle. By public transport

  1. Walk from the B&B to the bus stop on Europaweg (1 min walk).
  2. Take bus line 2 towards Apeldoorn Station.
  3. From the bus station, take bus 102 towards Harderwijk.
  4. Get off at the Apenheul or Het Loo stop.
  5. From the bus stop, it is about a walk 10 to 15 minutes to one of the entrances to the Het Kroondomein Het Loo. (on the Amersfoortseweg)

🚍 Travel time from Apeldoorn Station: approximately 10 minutes followed by a short walk.

Tip: The Kroondomein is a beautiful area for walking and cycling. Please note that parts of the Kroondomein are temporarily closed annually (usually from mid-September through December). Therefore, check the current opening times in advance before you set off.
