Deventer is one of the oldest and most atmospheric cities in the Netherlands and is located just a short distance from our B&B. The historic city center, with its charming streets, characteristic squares, and monumental buildings, invites you to wander around.
Visit the impressive Lebuïnus Church, stroll across the Brink with its cozy terraces and restaurants, browse the unique shops and boutiques, or take a walk along the IJsselkade with a beautiful view of the river. The Toy Museum, Museum De Waag, and the Deventer Book Market – the largest in Europe – are also highly recommended. Moreover, during the winter months, the city transforms into the world-famous Dickens Festival, a magical experience for young and old.

The historic city center of Deventer is just a 20-minute drive from our B&B. Deventer is also easily accessible by bicycle via a beautiful route through the varied Veluwe and IJssel landscape. Are you traveling by public transport? Then a direct train from Apeldoorn station will take you to Deventer station in about 10 minutes. Including the trip to the station and a short walk to the city center, you will be there in 20 to 30 minutes. This makes Deventer an ideal destination for a pleasant day out.
